MUSAC’s Showcase Project presents Images of a Project between Art and Feminism, an art intervention by Erreakzioa-Reacción [Estibaliz Sadaba (Bilbao, 1963) y Azucena Vieites (San Sebastián, 1967)], which reviews the proposals on the issues of artistic practice, theory and feminist activism put forward by the collective since its formation in 1994. Alongside with Erreakzioa-Reacción’s intervention for the Showcase Project, MUSAC, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León, will host the exhibition Genealogías feministas en el arte español: 1960-2010, curated by Juan Vicente Aliaga and Patricia Mayayo, which aims at offering a rereading of the past from a feminist perspective and recovering the deleted memory of gender practices through the exhibition of works from Spanish female artists from the middle of the 60’s to the present.
