The Swiss Federal Office of Culture organizes the competition “The Most Beautiful Swiss Books” on an annual basis. It thereby recognizes excellence in the field of book design and production, as well as drawing attention to remarkable and contemporary books by Swiss designers, printers, and publishers. Accompanying the awarded books, all submitted publications will be on view.

Armin Hofmann has designed a total of 56 exhibition posters and many publications for Kunsthalle Basel, which have lost nothing of their vibrancy and clarity. On the occasion of his 100th birthday, his designs, as reproductions, will be on display during the presentation of “The Most Beautiful Swiss Books” from October 15 to 21, 2020.
