A video interview between Martha Jungwirth and Hans Ulrich Obrist will be shown at the opening. Galerie Krinzinger is pleased to open a very special exhibition on the occasion of Martha Jungwirth's milestone birthday. The paintings on display, which were originally supposed to be shown in the Donizetti Salon of the Vienna State Opera, include a series of works including Das Trojanische Pferd, which was painted for the Eiserner Vorhang* of the Vienna State Opera in 2019. This project was realized by invitation of Hans Ulrich Obrist, Daniel Birnbaum and the Museum in Progress.

Martha Jungwirth (born 1940 in Vienna) studied at the Academy of Applied Arts, Vienna with Prof. Carl Unger.
From 1967 – 1977 she lectured at the Academy of Applied Arts, in 1991 at the International Summer-Academy in
Salzburg and 1992 at the Summer-Academy in Berlin.
