On Saturday July 1st the thematic group exhibition „Landscape“ is opening. Traditionally the gallery is presenting once the year an exhibition in which all artists by EIGEN + ART are participating.
On the one hand the realization is reflecting the programmatically spectrum of painting, photography, film, installation, sculpture and drawing by the artists of EIGEN + ART.
Then again each artist embraced the topic in its very one individual manner.
The theme „landscape“ is been dealed with on a metaphorical level as well as concretely, referring to the present as well as to tradition.
Neo Rauch is showing a small-sized work, a scenery, as a continuation of his work „Waldmann“ from 2003. The photography by Maix Mayer „delirious landscape“ refers to a portrait of architects from New York’s modernity. Martin Eder combined his outstanding female portraits with landscape using watercolor. Yehudit Sasportas impresses again with her poetical, philosophical and personal perception of nature, availing and analyzing her archives of images.The exhibition runs from July 1st through August 28th at Gallery EIGEN + ART Berlin
