Ursula Sax (*1935), who lives in Radebeul near Dresden, has maintained close ties withthe city of Berlin for many years through her studies and teaching at the University of Arts.

The artist has now made a substantial donation to the Berlinische Galerie, which has thussubstantially expanded its existing collection of her works. With stone, wood, metal andclay sculptures, flags and performance costumes, as well as drawings and prints, theexhibition presents a selection of her various bodies of work and provides an insight intoher impressively diverse oeuvre.
