EGMONT SCHAEFER
The Drawer Egmont Schaefer

May 18, 2008 to August 18, 2008

For Schaefer drawing was a means of expression as well as a way of life. As tireless as he perambulated Berlin, as tireless he drew. With his distinctive style and poetic -- sometimes bizarre -- tenderness he captured the city and its people from the 1920s until his death in 2004.
The exhibition in the Eberhard Roters Hall gives an insight into the life’s work of the city person ES, as he used to sign his works, to celebrate his 100th birthday.
